Can Permanent Makeup Be Removed or Corrected?

Yes! Permanent makeup can be removed or corrected, and at Ink by Britt we have options to help.

Correction

If you have existing permanent makeup from another artist that you’d like refreshed, adjusted, or corrected, we’d love to help. During your consultation, we’ll assess the existing work and discuss the best approach to get you the results you want.

Laser Tattoo Removal

Our Mesquite location offers professional laser tattoo removal, which can be used to fully remove or fade unwanted permanent makeup — whether it’s old brows, eyeliner, or lip color. Laser removal is also a great option if you’re looking to fade existing work before getting a fresh procedure.

Laser Services

What can laser services help with?

Laser treatments may help fade or remove unwanted permanent makeup or cosmetic tattoo pigment. Results depend on factors such as pigment color, depth, age, and your skin. We’ll discuss your goals and determine whether treatment is appropriate during a consultation.

What happens at a laser consultation?

We’ll review the area you’d like treated, your medical and skin history, prior procedures, and expectations. We’ll explain the approach, possible risks, expected healing, and estimated number of sessions. Treatment suitability and a personalized plan are determined individually; not everyone is a candidate.

How many sessions will I need, and what should I expect?

Multiple sessions are commonly needed, spaced out to allow the skin to heal. The number and outcome vary by person and pigment. Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, or pigment changes can occur, and complete removal cannot be guaranteed. Your provider will discuss realistic expectations before treatment.

How should I care for the treated area?

Follow the specific aftercare instructions provided at your appointment. Keep the area clean, avoid picking or irritating healing skin, and protect it from sun exposure. Contact the studio if you have concerns during healing; seek medical care for severe or worsening symptoms.
